Description

Vowel sounds in words that look alike are tricky for many students!  Use this pack, which includes words through Step 9, to focus on reading, hearing and saying the correct vowel sounds in similar looking words.  Words include closed (CVC), Magic e (VCE), and Vowel Team (VV both regular and irregular) syllable words.  Word lists, games, and short silly stories help student focus and attend to the changing vowel sounds.  The 30 “I Have, Who Has” cards are great for a whole class activity in which student can help each other learn their words while playing.  The “Make it Real and Make it Silly” asks student to choose between two words to fill in the blank to make the story twice: once silly, once real.  Students often like the silly story the best.  This resource is great for beginning readers at grade level, students needing a boost, special education and homeschooling.  SOR aligned. 13 unique print and go student pages.
